Less traffic and a better experience at Empúries before the crowds arrive.

🏛 1st stop — Ruins of Empúries

The only site on the Iberian Peninsula where the Greek and Roman civilisations coexisted.

✅ Don't miss:

the Greek city, the Roman city, the forum, mosaics, the cryptoporticus, the archaeological museum.

🅿 Spacious car park right by the entrance.

💡 Tip:

after the visit, walk 5 minutes to Empúries beach — few visitors do.

🕛 12:00 — Figueres

Stroll through the historic centre (the Rambla, Town Hall Square, Modernist façades) before lunch.

⭐ Not to be missed:

the Mae West Room, the rainy Cadillac, the central courtyard, the geodesic dome, the crypt.

🏰 17:00 — Peralada

Castle, winery (guided tour recommended), gardens, casino.

📸 Best photo: the castle entrance at sunset.

🕖 Return to L'Escala — around 19:30.

🍽 Recommended dinner:

L'Escala anchovies, suquet de peix (fish stew), seafood rice, D.O. Empordà wines.

Empúries has open spaces to explore, and the Dalí museum sparks curiosity.
